Admissions Process

ADMISSIONS INTERVIEW & TEACHER ASSIGNMENT

  • Objective: To initially get to know the student’s level to properly assign a suitable teacher based on needs and requirements.
  • Process:
    • Set interview time and day. Interview time and duration depend on the availability of the student.
    • Conduct interviews through Skype. Interviews with Junior students are on video and Senior students on audio.

LEVEL TESTING (a.k.a. TEST CALL)

  • Objective: To check on the student’s English level and to properly align it to the teacher’s lesson plan. This will also allow the student to check on his/her compatibility with their teacher.
  • Process: Test Calls (TC) are done on the student’s chosen class time. 15-20 minutes is the allowed length of time for this process.

LEVEL TEST RESULT (a.k.a. Narrative Report)

DELIVERY TO STUDENT/PARENT & CONFIRMATION OF CLASS START

  • Objective: To let the student/parent know their initial level based on ST’s standard level scoring. To let the student/parent know focus/plans for the class as well as materials to be used in class. To also confirm if student/parent will pursue the class and when it will start.
  • Process: Delivery of the narrative also invites questions and queries from students/parents. Arrangement on the start of classes soon follows. Random check-up on student will also be done for monitoring purposes.
